The trouble is the scientists are not swallowing it - two [originally Russian] Nobel prize winners set up the Graphene Institute here in Manchester. One has now voted with his feet and the other has some strong words for Boris: -
other papers including the Times ran it, but the Times has a paywall.
I expect that as soon as his daughter graduates Regius Professor Sir Andre Geim FRS will pack his bags too.
