Theresa May FORCED to give EU CONCESSIONS to FINALLY secure a transition
deal
The idea of a deal comes despite continued internal French opposition and
follows on from a host of important admissions from the UK, including
accepting the demands of the EU on keeping the period to just 21 months.
In a settlement that was signed off by the Cabinet this week, free movement
of EU citizens will continue up until the end of the transition period,
allowing EU nationals to win "permanent leave to remain" if they arrive
before the end of 2020.
Ireland is wanting verbal commitments from the PM
Sources in the EU said that Britain has been given a "fig leaf" for each of
their agreement.
++++++++
It is believed that the UK will agree to follow EU foreign and security
policy and will be allowed to join EU delegations "when it is in the
interests of the EU".
++++++++++
The negotiations, where the UK could finally finalise a transition deal came
amid reports that Britain could "throw open the borders" to avoid customs
checks in the event of a no deal Brexit under plans reportedly being
considered in Whitehall.
