The liberal left are cock a hoop over this and Tim Farron is now a Trumpite. Wisely Corbyn is keeping his powder dry.

I think she is being a bit hard on Trump. This Syrian intervention has
many of the classic signs of a token gesture. The type of thing Bill
Clinton did. Rather than start a war, killing hundreds of thousands,
send a cruise missile to blow up a few (possibly innocent) people.

It may seem evil but if the token gesture enables the president to avoid
political pressure for large scale military intervention it is probably
very worthwhile.

There should not have been political pressure, but there was including
from the Democrats delighted on learning that Trump now accepts his role
as the world's No. 1 sheriff. End of America first. Confronting Russia,
Trump will need Mexico and every other ally he can lay his presidential
hands on. Chance of Mexico paying for the wall? Less with each passing
minute. China? No longer the world's evil currency manipulators.

Under investigation, Trump decided that Syrian children were worth more
than Yemen children. Of course Yemen's children are merely being
conventional cluster-bombed and starved so that might explain the
difference.
